The Japan Patient Support Foundation (JPSF), located in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, and led by Representative Director David Liebreich, has signed a collaborative agreement with the Japan Patient Association (JPA), an incorporated association based in Toshima-ku, Tokyo, and led by Representative Director Koji Ohkoku. This collaboration aims to further strengthen support for patients and their families and enhance the provision of valuable information.
【Background and Objectives of the Collaboration】
Recent advancements in medical technology and the widespread use of information and communication technologies have diversified the forms of information and support that patients and their families require. Both JPSF and JPA have shared the importance of patient support through regular exchanges of opinions. With this collaborative agreement, the two organizations aim to leverage their strengths to enhance the provision of information that improves the daily lives of patients and their families.
Areas of Collaboration
The collaboration will focus on the following initiatives:
・Joint Planning and Production of Content
Video distribution "Flat Morning" to share voices of patients and families living with intractable or chronic diseases.
Casual discussion sessions "Chokotto Café" to facilitate easy interactions.
・Website Development Support
JPSF will assist JPA member organizations in creating and managing their websites.
・Survey Cooperation
JPA will collaborate in conducting surveys targeting patient organizations, as planned by JPSF.
Vision for the Future
Through this collaboration, both organizations aim to realize a society where patients and their families can live authentically. The partnership seeks to further develop patient support activities and improve the quality of information provided.
